I believe we have limited strengths within our own power. We are almost nothing unless we rely on something higher than ourselves…. then we become “salt of the earth”.

    • Reply barbarafranken July 6, 2013 at 7:15 am

Indeed the human is very limited… programmed so by people who liked it this way… i.e.. the church… rich and powerful people through the ages… We have been lead to believe that god, a higher power or as I like to call it… source of all that is (the IAM presence) is outside ourself… and we have to go through the church men to get to it… But the human is indeed waking up now and remembering… a knowingness stirs within and we realise that we are part of the source… The divinehuman being is the IAM presence… We are all god too…

Thankfully, I caught on in early years that I was at the steering wheel of my life, but even so we can go off course at times. Having emerged from a very difficult decade of my life recently, I’ve been coming to this higher level of understanding you speak of. It’s so simple and so inviting. All it takes is a leap of faith and then a commitment to keep leaping!!! I’m working on it!

    • Reply barbarafranken July 8, 2013 at 4:12 pm

Yes… we give ourselves some experiences don’t we… as we grow more authentic (awakening to our divine perfection)… we move through the human experiences that no longer serve us… trusting.. trusting and assuming that everything is just perfect as it is… Thankyou for visiting my blog and joining my friendship ring… I will also enjoy reading about your authentic journey… Barbara

You are so correct…we are making it all up as we go along. We’ve never done this before. Now what will we choose–as individuals, as a collective? Our individual choices make up the whole, determine the way it will all go on a grand scale. Time to quit feeding the fear and instead make conscious choices to feed the love instead.

Oh, and by the way, thank you for following my blog! You are one special lady!

As a molecular geneticist, I will say this: the genetic deterministic paradigm is provisional at best, out-and-out wrong at worst. According to and as deduced from theory, I am my genes. I control the expression of my genes. I both control and am my destiny. Finally, am I violent? Well, My evolutionary history proves that I have killed, raped, tortured, and pillaged every creature, civilization, and person that I am. I’d say that’s pretty violent. Alas, though – I knew not what I did. Only I can wake up and realize that I am the one responsible for each and every violent act that is committed or has ever been committed. Only I can bring the violence that I am to a stop. Peace, Ik

I did a shamanic journey with a fellow blogger, shamantracker, in my journey e discovery about self was that I had been leaning on my feminine side and therefore was not balanced. She recommended some breathing exercises which of course I haven’t done.

I have Daddy issues, my father did not want children and didn’t cherish us at all. (He was not mean or abusive, just absent) It affects me in life. Doreen Virtue does a weekly Angel Card reading and this week she said something like, “This week you need to release those daddy issues.” lol Really? I think perhaps she was talking to me. I unfairly wanted my boyfriend to fill in some of those needs, when I really need to do that for myself.

    Good article Barbara.

Thank you for sharing Sindy… I also had issues, and because I couldn’t remember, I kept wanting to remember and it was always there getting in the way…. until I understood that I am not that same person that was… ‘whatever happened’… all my cells have physically changed since then… It was just another experience and I am quite alright now… if I allowed myself to be… I embraced the emotional stuck part of me, told it like a big sister that it was loved and asked it to express itself… I didn’t have to understand… I felt the acceptance coming in and the emotion just dispersed… I’d taken the charge off and it was gone, transformed into a neutral energy filled with potential… that I used again for myself to create… Barbara

I think the problem with people is not that they want to kill or poison themselves but they don’t know how to change. Also, they want things to be easy – go to the store, buy stuff, and cook.

These days being healthy means spending a lot of time reading, shopping around, spending a lot of money and making good choices. You have to agree that there are a limited amount of places that you can go out and have a healthy meal with your friends or family.

Also, making a choice to be happy means that you have to stop being a victim, and that, my friend, is a deal breaker. We are raised to fit in, we are raised to think that happiness comes from things you own, career you have, life you build, and if you do not have it, you can’t be happy. And, of course, that means that if you have dreams and you have not been able to make them a reality, you just can’t be happy.

    • Reply barbarafranken August 17, 2013 at 9:47 am

Thank you for your thoughtful comments… Are you living in America? I found it also very hard to find restaurants that served healthy food too… or not too expensive..Thank goodness I live in Spain where I go to the local market and buy most of my products very cheaply… the restaurants are also reasonable, a 3 course meal is an average of 15 euros and a bottle of rioja 6 euro…. We chose to live here because the living costs were so reasonable… Yes, like you mention reading and talking about where to find reasonable priced food is so essential… I found the farmers market was good when i was visiting america… Thankfully information is getting out there and more and more people are becoming more conscious of what they eat and do now…. and realise that all the material things, the best study and career etc don’t make you happy anyway… The secret is to go beyond the mind, the ego and connect with the soul… and follow the souls dream… this basically means to choose to opt out of main stream society, of having to fit in… and standing out… here IAM and just being happy with what is… I know it’s easy said, but one heart at a time… and isn’t it why we are all writing so consciously now… to help each other move from ‘fitting in’ to standing out…

What a challenging tool depression can be. How powerful when one can allow any feeling while working on observing it from a place of using it as a teacher to inform transformation.

You are giving such a wonderful share for the snap shot of where we all are on the path. It takes courage to dive into the laughter in a world (and sometimes body!) that is asking us to only focus on the pain. When we feel the pain and can still find the smile, for me, it brings me closer to being home :).

Really glad to have been honored by your follow over on my blog. I am looking forward to the shares as the road a head of each of us unfolds!

Thank you for your thoughtful and lovely comments… I believe we can only be examples… helping fellow awakening people to enjoy their own true magnificence and authentic power…

Isn’t pain a language from the body that needs attention? Isn’t depression a language from the mind that needs to escape from itself…

Loving ourself unconditionally is the beginning of freedom… freedom from pain, depression and fear that our world is now intensely wrapped up in….

It is my pleasure to have you as part of my friendship here on word press… Yes together we are creating a new magically world…

A kind word will turn away wrath is how the teaching of the tradition I was raised it would frame it. Powerful truths. Enjoying having connected with such inspiration found here. -x.M

A magnificent text, indeed! All the stories in it have one thing in common – fear – which is the other side of the medal, called Love. Fear divides, love unites, fear separates us, love brings us together. Fear is greedy, love is generous. Fear is strong, but love is invincible. Fear is mortal, but Love is immortal. The only thing that we have to keep in mind is that the choice (on which part to take), always belongs to us. But there is more. Sufy teachers say that not taking part in the everlasting struggle between good and bad is what frees you from the illusion. It is the ability to observe without taking any side…

    • Reply barbarafranken September 13, 2013 at 2:04 pm

Thank you for your insightful contribution to this powerful subject… Observing the illusion is so important and feeling into each moment as to what is good for our own experience… and choosing our next step on our own journey…

This is interesting and empowering to read, thank you. However I’d be really careful about classifying eating disorders and depression as choices one made or as addictions – they are not, and nowhere that simple.
It is a choice we have, though, once we are aware of what we battle, to work at changing our mindset and at recognising and changing the patterns we are in. For some this will be something they can only do in tandem with medical and mental health treatment – it’s almost impossible for eg. to challenge eating disorder behaviours in someone who is in a state of starvation or malnutrition because much of that behaviour is caused and perpetuated by the physical state. And for someone who has a chemical imbalance in their brain, again, without correcting this, they truly do not have the choice to change their thinking.
Plus, I don’t believe anyone would ‘choose’ to be depressed or have an eating disorder or become addicted to the low – they are truly hellish and miserable existences.

    • Reply barbarafranken September 13, 2013 at 7:05 pm

Thank you Fiona for your thoughtful words… I totally understand your words and I can maybe better say ‘conscious choice’… as many of us, myself included for many years, don’t understand that we have a choice… and certainly the unaware person does not choose to be depressed or addicted….

But somehow if we can just breathe, relax into ourself… observe our thoughts, our surroundings and allow our spiritual essence or soul to be part of us…. trusting ourself to go beyond the mind and everything we know…. to feel and know we are more… so much more… that we are magnificent… and can choose to change something about our situation…

But first it’s about awareness… about consciousness…. expanding our consciousness…. Barbara

  • Reply leftylola September 13, 2013 at 4:42 pm

This is interesting. Admittedly, I’m not a very spiritual person but I really like the idea that we are our own Gods responsible for the paths we take. I don’t know what it’s like outside of my “tube” and I still think that happiness is only for other people.

    • Reply barbarafranken September 13, 2013 at 6:42 pm

I like the scientific explanation on addiction. IT is really cool to have the willpower to give up smoking. On a side note, great savings ensured when there is no need to spend the money on the cigarettes.

    • Reply barbarafranken September 17, 2013 at 2:31 pm

I found the explanation very interesting and it resonated with my heart… so simple… so now we have no excuse… but to be in charge of our life and say NO a bit more…. I have enjoyed spending my money on clothes instead… Barbara

That blue sky is something we haven’t seen much of here in Alaska. I’ve been wondering if the daily grey skies that are moving us into the winter months could be the cause of my weighty emotional state. Your photographs convinced me that the connection is real. I need sunshine and warmth and water. I’m in the wrong place for that!

Tangible peeks into the story with family are priceless. For me, our family is one of the most priceless tools for teaching we gift ourselves.

What a great share of being in motion with a woman who can love other women while leaving the formal labels of relationships behind. I often wonder at the referring of ex- whatever designations and how they can trap some folks away from walking into a creation of the mandala of just loving.

Beauty be to you for sharing such a wonderful example of relationship potentials here. -x.M

Thank you for the beautiful, heartfelt post. I felt the ease as I was reading it. And I felt/feel gratitude to you and all fellow travelers. It is an honor to join in this project with you all.

Where I am personally is that I have left the past(s) behind since several years ago (having analyzed and processed it enough, and coming to know myself inside-outside). IΒ΄m using my tools in this moment to clear the β€œleft overs” or whatever there is to be cleared. Is not so long ago I used to play in-moment-to-moment basis with the idea that I am already in the New Paradigm, and that I just sometimes forget, and then easily reconnect. IΒ΄m drawn to do this play again in a daily basis. I really am in the New Paradigm even if I forget or sense being disconnected at times. In one sense the forgetting is about the illusion of time being linear/horizontal, and when succeeding being in the now moment we are connected vertically (aligned with our own souls and the universal “no time”, eternal now :)). Sindy shared this idea of horizontal and vertical planes too in a comment to one of my posts.

What comes to the new energies I too experience them being very real and tangible. I sense and see them, and have witnessed great shifts. When the shifts were/are physical, it is the easiest to measure, and IΒ΄ve witnessed also many of those including myself.

    Love and gratitude,

    Deelia

PS. What I commented to you was in a humorous tone referring to the mediation and the idea in general, that is I hope that it didnΒ΄t sound like IΒ΄m giving orders, or anything like that. πŸ™‚

    • Reply barbarafranken September 21, 2013 at 1:10 pm

I felt your humour in your reminder… that’s how we support each other… Thankyou dear sister… Barbara

Barbara, thank you because sometimes I too get caught up in it all. Just the other day I read something (always studying) that said you do not have to do anything, just let it be . . . and in fact yesterday it was brought even further to my attention that I just have to let it be when a big black bear crossed my path. It is all evolving, or has, as it should and we need simply to be present in the here and now! Thank you for that reminder, and you make me smile to recognize it is not only I who struggle with it all at times. Blessings.

I agree …. special kids (even though that refers to special needs) do have something special in them. My son with autism wears his heart on his sleeve. He experiences life and all emotions in a non-limiting, no-boundaries kind of way. When he enjoys something, he really savors the moment – whether it is getting soaked in the rain or eating his favorite Coco crisps cereal.

Nice post Barbara. I agree that children, all children, special or not, can teach us how to live life. I hope we can all nurture the child within us.

    • Reply barbarafranken October 8, 2013 at 8:47 am

We sometimes wonder why the reader doesn’t pick it posts… but this post points to the few souls that continue to play the game and hide the truth so people don’t get to read it for themselves… We will find away… maybe my friends can reblog it and get it circulating…

Thanks for your kind comments Linda…I enjoyed writing it and feel an urge to get it out there….

Lemuria and Atlantis rose and fell many times in different time-lines… I believe many souls experienced them… Lemuria seemed to be the motherland and souls wanting to experience more went off and created Atlantis where they exceeded in technology… I don’t know much more maybe because it is not important to me now… Maybe when you listen to the videos, you will understand more about what you want… Enjoy Barbara

Hey Barbara I have read many varying but similar versions of this story. I am especially interested in the documents regarding the Akashic records.

Barbara it is 11;31. I most likely wont take the time because I know the story and agree with it, so…..
But the document I have and will read.

I have memories of 3 different lives on Atlantis, just glimpses but enough to know, I have also had memories of Mars. I usually don’t mention this stuff but its at your blog not mine, so not everyone will see it. lol

I did send the link to the videos and the document to a good friend of mine, who has also read the various creation stories. If you had read them all you see the similarities and those of us that are aware resonate right away with the truth.

I agree with your thoughts Here Barbara, and have read much that resonates, the truth of our origins has been withheld and we developed amnesia over aeons . Our DNA was tampered with, as we in essence became slaves… The Light is Winning! and Has won its galactic battle, we live now in exciting times of change.. Change which like any New Birth will be perhaps for some be a Little Painful, but we chose to be here at this time to help see the Birthing of our New World as we transcend through the vale of Illusion and to our rightful dimension.. For we have been trapped within the darkened layers for so long… The cycle is all but complete…
The World will have much letting go to to.. as we who ‘See’ understand the forces of Dark via the Media and Governmental Controls of those who pull the strings to keep control via Fear tactics..

But we who know we are eternal Beings, understand we have nothing to fear…
Lovely to have met you and Thank you for visiting and following, I hope we get to know each other via our posts ..

It’s a blessing when sisters get along, you will never fully appreciate the joy of family until later in life(personally speaking) I’ve always been close to my sisters, all 5 of them. Interesting & empowering – & the comments were thoughtful, too. I agree we are programmed into great limitation. I have dedicated myself to telling my son whatever his dream, he can do it, and encouraged him to try all sorts of things. I’m not faking it either, I really do believe he can.

I myself am massively under-achieved, and I know it. I don’t know how I can change that right now, as working to make the rent and keeping my son (my hope) alive and well and advancing, is all I can think to do for the now. But I know my father’s emotional abuse and his damage, damage, damage to me over years had a long term sorry after-effect. But I endeavour to not be a victim! I still have some ambition.

    • Reply barbarafranken November 3, 2013 at 1:16 pm

Thank you for your kind and honest comments too… Imagination is the key… to expand out of our limited world… also allowing new things, new dreams, new potentials to come into our life and light us up… and to know that our life is all just about experience… take care, Barbara

Ahhhh!!! At the risk of any of those sweet friends of mine who have bestowed me with the gift of those awards I agree with a resounding YES!!!!
Not that I feel that I have wasted my time in accepting. But now I just graciously thank the giver and truly am grateful, and have actually gifted a few early on, but over the years , I must say that I’ve discovered that even though the heart of the giver may be pure, those awards are totally just a networking tool and the newbies are usually the ones who give them until they realize the same as we have. They take all day if you do them right! And every now and then I might get sucked in to one if I have the time or am snowed in… which by the way both may be extremely unlikely cuz for one I live in California! πŸ˜‰
    Loved this!!!!

Oh yes… Shirley Maclaine opened my world up to the unknown in the late 80’s and she is an avid researcher of secrets hidden from the general public… she lives now in great view of many ufo’s comings and goings…and continues to report… And slowly more and more documents are coming out of the visits we have had and continue to have from our neighbouring planets… but slow enough not to blow people’s minds completely wide open…

This is an exciting time. Once in a lifetime thing this is…
4 Comets in the Sky soon visible. The chances of ISON hitting us is Zero. We may “May” go through the comet trail, but I think Asteroids like the big Russian one will be few and far between.
    4 Comets: http://prayingforoneday.wordpress.com/2013/11/04/4-comets-in-our-skies-four-horsemen-of-the-apocalypse/
I added a twist of religious scripture to this one. As it does add up and ,match up.
Never before in recorded history will we be able to see 4 Comets in the Sky.

For people like me who research from the Highlands in Scotland, this is an amazing time. I love to get the Telescope out on the top deck where I get full sky view with no light pollution is just AMAZING..

Oh how wonderful.. Terrific idea! I immediately thought of my grandmother’s opal ring. My grandmother lived with us until I got married, so she was a big influence on the forming of who I am. My daughter got married Oct. 26th, and she wore that ring…. her great-grandmothers, and also carried a handkerchief of Brussels lace that was my mothers. I love the “Vintage” stuff (probably should put myself in that category) because of the flood of memories just one object can produce. Wonderful write! πŸ˜€

I have much to learn and perhaps even a few things to teach along the way.It seems the teachers I need are showing up in unexpected places with the lessons I’m needed in the process.

I really appreciated this post Barbara. I am really in throes of an psycho-spiritual meltdown, overstimulated by chaos and magic dancing side by side. I like how you described your inner world in a way that we can understand and relate.

Thank you also for including my blog on your list. I do feel and see magic everywhere, even when darkness and negativity take center stage ( temporarily I hope ! )

Keep moving along your journey and setting a great example for those who are striving to awaken..

    • Reply barbarafranken December 6, 2013 at 11:16 am

Thanks Shree for your true loving words… and you do know and I know, that you are awesome, colourful and magical and the only reason you weren’t on my list this time is because I didn’t come to your blog during this particular time period… I intend to do this more often (I think), as it is a way of helping everyone expand… and I will make sure I connect with you… but these lists (awards too) always leave people out, for many different reasons… and even when we are being Ms Magnificent, we feel one of our heart strings twang from not being included as we know we are truly all one and at that moment we are made to feel separate… It’s a human thing and IAM not sure we can ever truly get past this… my opinion only)… So dear Shree… you are me and IAM you and I thank you… Love Barbara x

My own intuition brought me to your blog today as I catch up. Like you I miss many posts via the reader and my email box is heaving.. I think many of us at times have self doubt that creeps in..

I have found that when I become quiet for a time, I think perhaps nothing is happening as I rest up to drink in family and put their needs first, and doubts creep in as to my direction in life, Its these times when the Magic returns … Today I had not intended to post.. Until I saw the news of Nelson Mandela last evening…
Spirit teach us while when we think nothing is happening.. In fact that is when they are the most busy behind the scenes..
Today I sat, just sat, looking at the birds feeding on the bird feeders in our garden… They brought me so much pleasure as I saw them bathing in the bird bath… Sometimes we complicate life when we should just TRUST… Like the birds as they get up each day expecting nothing but receiving all they need ..

Thank you most kindly for including me in your list of the inspirational.. I have felt the Magic today from seeing we do touch lives no matter how small.. Just like those birds who know not I am here.. I hope as strangers read our words we inspire and bring Magic to their lives….

Your tribute to Nelson Mandela is lovely… He truly was an ascended Master Barbara, who I am sure has been welcomed Home with much love to a job well done…

    Blessings

I’m amazed at how much of a parallel I can draw between my life these past few years and the stages of awakening that you write about here. As you know from reading my posts, my life has completely changed once I finally began to awake and be at peace with who I am. My coming out experience led me to reevaluate all aspects of my life and find so much love and support from people who I would have never met had I not gone through these stages. It’s also quite wonderful to realize that other people are experiencing a similar awakening.

Barbara, over at Me, My Magnificent Self is setting up a January challenge to write an E-book with 31 stories about real people’s Awakenings and how they’re moving forward.

I’ve signed up to add my story but we still need a few other people to join to get the 31 stories.

Head over and see if you’d be interested in joining us.

Ok, just seeing an open date list here… if the 24th is still available I will take it. Neil Diamond and I count this day as special as it is the one we made our grand entrances on to the earth stage on :). -x.M

I am in. I will take January 9th.

Thank you Dace… I do hope my stages didn’t come over too structural… I just thought it would be easier to follow… Each heart that is awakening has its own story and structure… and everything is as it is… Barbara

I would like to be the 28th if that is okay. I thought I read something about a certain format. Did I see something like that? I love the idea of those who are doing the work grouping together. It gives me much hope.
    Love,
    Laurie

Hi Laurie… I thought it would be easy to use a thread of stages… but as our hearts are all awaken uniquely… maybe we can just allow our hearts to tell its story in its own way… Thanks for joining in… Barbara
